Project Overview
Crime Map is a website that helps you understand crime risk in your area.
See a map of crime hotspots — browse an interactive map showing where incidents (murder, rape, kidnapping, robbery, assault, etc.) have been reported, color-coded by how risky an area is (from Very Low to Very High).
Check risk before you go somewhere — enter a location, the day of the week, and time of day (morning/afternoon/evening/night), and the site predicts how risky that spot is likely to be, based on historical patterns nearby.
Browse the raw data — search and filter a public list of reported incidents by place, date, weekday, or risk level.
For administrators — a separate admin login lets authorized staff upload new crime data (via CSV), manage/edit records, and export data, keeping the map and predictions up to date.
